Wrong key for the version of Windows 7

My school has a Volume Licencing deal with Microsoft. They handed out keys to students and so I just re-installed Windows 7 Enterprise but when I did Change Product Key to activate my copy of Windows, it says that the key I entered is not a key for this version of windows 7. How can I know if the key is for Enterprise, Ultimate, Pro or Home?

If they gave you a Volume License key, then you need a VL version of Windows. Ask the school if they can give you an ISO of the version you need.
