WRT160N as Access Point

I have the following setup...

Router WRDN4300
Linksys WRT160N - want to use as access point

I set up the access point router (WRT160N) and get good wireless coverage now which were dead zones in my house, BUT the LAN ports don't work on either my router or access point router now.

What did I do wrong?

What did you do to set it up, connection LAN to LAN port, disable DHCP, use static address on WRT160N that is outside the 4300's DHCP assignment range?
