WRT1900Ac as access point

Our house just got built and the modem and router are in the basement, I have a Linksys 24port switch that I bought and a WRT1900AC router that I would like to put on the loft area in the 2nd floor for Wi-fi to use as an Access point but I don't see a clear way on doing it. Anybody have some insight or a walk through on how to convert my router into an access point?

The User Guide for that Router has a description of configuring it as an access point on page 33. The section is titled "HOW TO USE A ROUTER AS AN ACCESS POINT"
