I'd like to pass on my old retired system consisting of an Asus Maximus Gene micro-ATX Z97 motherboard with an i7-4790k and 32GB Crucial Balistix DDR3. Will go into the original motherboard box.
I don't like eBay these days so don't want to try and auction it and I'm not really looking for money for it either, just to pass it on to someone who might make use of it - so I'm asking £10 to cover postage only.
System was in use until 2021, did have occasional stability issues which were solved by making voltage changes (see https://forums.tomshardware.com/thr...tion-another-one.3698256/page-2#post-22346264) - I gathered this was standard for Asus Maximus boards, they automatically overclock and can need tweaking by default. I powered it on a few days back and it was working fine although the CMOS settings had been lost.
Many thanks!
