Hi All:
Can someone enlightenme as to the best colors to use for my new force of WWI
Turks? We are attempting to deny Palestine to Allenby but the sun keeps
reflecting off the unpainted metal...the galere is impossible.
Specifically, I have purchased some of the wonderful Copplestone 28 mm figures
for this period and don't have a book with the data. Does Osprey have a book?
TIA.

HI! I CAME ACROSS SOME INFO. ON TURKISH FIGURE PAINTING
FROM "THE LAST CRUSADE" RULES BOOK.PP. 78..."THE COLOR FOR THE TURKS WAS MIXED
FROM A BASE OF "POLY S" US ARMOR
OLIVE MIXED WITH A SMALL AMOUNT OF FIELD GREY & KHAKI. FOR ADDED EFFECT, PRIME THE
FIGURE AND WASH WITH A HEAVY BLACK-GREEN OR DARK OLIVE BRAB WASH AND DRY BRUSH THE

"TURKISH OLIVE" OVER THIS. THIS WILL PRODUCE A VARIETY OF FINAL UNIFORM COLORS AND
ENHANCE THE APPEARENCE OF THE "ENVER HELMETS"..." I ALSO HAVE THE RULES SET,
EXPANDED ED. AVAILABLE FOR 25.00US. CHEERS! SCOTT

Hi Scott:
Thank you very much for so kindly taking the time to reply. I'll be using the
figures to expand the adventures in the "Pulp Fiction" world I've created.

Yes, Osprey does a book.

My Turks are generally in an orange-yellow khaki (I use Humbrol sand as a
base with a brown inkwash and a light tan drybrush). Main thing is to get
them a different colour to the Brits, khaki drill is generally a bit lighter
than the Turk colour, although obviously they all fade to a bleached off
white in the sun.

Cheers
