Trouble is we bought hp psc 2100 printer with pre-xp windows computer, service altogether satisfactory. Need to revive the use of printer, this time with windows vista. Computer doesn't recognize cd program, nor accept on-line download--how to change its mind?

Trouble is we bought hp psc 2100 printer with pre-xp windows computer, service altogether satisfactory. Need to revive the use of printer, this time with windows vista. Computer doesn't recognize cd program, nor accept on-line download--how to change its mind?

From personal Experience: I threw away HP scanner, and CDRW drive, for the exact same reason. After months of "non Support" from HP, downloading installation packages which they claim were XP drivers( at that time), I finally found that the packages were actually for win98, not XP. so your problem does not surprise me !
