X series motherboards

How interchangeable are the IBM X series laptop motherboards. Can I upgrade
my X20 to a X30 or even an X40 motherboard. Anyone try this?

Won't work, they're all completely different. Not just the chassis. Even the
X21 is internally completely different from the X22.

Thanks. I was thinking about bidding on a X23 motherboard for my X20.
