Just like to say great to see how popular this site is now.

First build in 8 years how things have changed......

Anyway this is not a problem but more of a heads up please.

I have a dvd writer says burns up to x24 I dont see any x24 media so i got the verbatim x 16

Though the option to burn at x24 is THERE ? so i am guessing that x16 discs are the max and that these drives can burn at x24 ? What about x16 on a x8 disc ?

PS PLEASE PLEASE SEE MY OTHER PROBLEM AND HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

Sorry ? Blu Ray ? No what i am saying is that my new lg blu ray drive can burn at x24 to x16 DVD discs is this ok ? I am going to do a test, burn the same data to the same discs at x16 and x24 and see if the drive pulls back to x16 or if it is infact going at x24.

Oh as a note you should always burn at half the speed of the disc to avoid problems so if my disc is x 16 my drive says x 24 is ok then should i burn at x 12 😱

Some dvds on my old laptop use to look like the copy was ok at full speed burn but would skip in parts burn at half speed no skip. Though this new drive in a tower is happy at any speed for now, still not a lot to a laptop drive really.
