They have it; two X1950XTXs are generally faster than two 7950GX2s, and they aren't even worth mentioning now. If you mean Quad 8800GTXs, you'd need your own nuclear reactor to power that.only upside to this, is that ATi can offer a competitor to Quad SLi.
but thats pretty much useless in its own right, when we have yet to see a normal two card setup being overworked, let alone a CPU that won't bottleneck it.
30 amps?? wtf :?: :?: :!: :!: :!:
I hope thats a typo - because you can't be serious.
edit:
way to post the exact same time I did...
But even then, a single 8800GTX would easily wipe the floor with two X1950Pros, seeing as it outperforms two X1950XTXs in Crossfire. This does have a huge advantate over a two card system, even the 7950GTX, they both only take up 2 card slots, this frees up a lot of room that mbs seem to have less and less of. Have you taken a look at the new mbs?? 1 IDE connector, and the only usable PCI's a stuck under the PCI-E making it hard to have more than one usable (if your lucky) PCI slot for sound, modem, lan etc. Ive seen a few things i would like to add such as Physx (maybe not after i get some 8800s or r600s) or the dedicated network card a few have been raving about.
2 GPUs in 2 slots > 2 GPUs in 4 slots

You're nuts to think ATI will be able to pack two cores with over 700 million transistors onto the same board.True but r600 is on its way. And when DX10 comes out 2 GPUs will still be (marginly) better. And its always better to have extra space!

wow, ripoff of 7950GX2.....
This is trye, also like the Rage Fury MaxxAnyways, to the idea of having two X1950Pros on one board, a single 8800GTX would easily outperform it while also supporting Direct X10.
