Hey Guys
I need your help, I'm trying to decided which card to buy. At the moment I'm considering these two cards - Club 3D X1950PRO 256MB and MSI NX7900GTO-T2D512E. The Radeon on card is going to cost me in the region of 1600 kr. (roughly 275 dollars), where as the MSI is valued at a little above 2000 kr. (345 dollars). So my question is: Is it's worth it or should I go for the cheaper card??

(P.S. I Know these are insane prices but that's what you get when you live in a country like Denmark, where we enjoy 25 % sales taxes) :D

It's an unfair comparison because they are in different price ranges. You will see a slight performance advantage with the 7900gto, but you could OC the X1950 to run at equated speeds.

Where are you buying the Pro for $275?? They have a Saphire X1950 PRO on newegg for $200. That GTO is way too expensive.

He said he lives in Denmark which means Newegg wont ship to him. Also they have a very high sales tax as he mentioned.

I would go with the X1950Pro but make sure you look around and find the best deal for one.

The GTO is definately a little faster in most games but it's not worth that much extra money. I would buy the X1950 pro.

Look over the games that matter to you. http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/ati_radeon_x1950_pro/page6.asp

Like I said, most games the GTO would win, sometimes not by too much though. The X1950 pro would have a few wins like in Oblivion (rendering the best performance in the stressful outdoors) and Need for Speed Carbon.

You may want to look for the new X1950XT 256MB as it will easily beat the 7900GTO and probably beat the X1900XT 512MB and 7900GTX even. Anyway, I am guessing it will be priced equal or better to that 7900GTO.
