I'll never be able to fathom how people can dirty their systems so badly. =)

Changing tack, I was browsing the UC fearums earlier and I saw a
reference to a post you'd made, but I couldn't find the actual post.
What's this about slaughtering your pilots to progress their AI?

I have no idea, let me find the reference I was talking about:

Nope, can't find it. I thought it sounded like a way to up the Pilots
AI with a sneaky cheat, but I was getting it second hand so it wasn't
too clear. No matter.

My game is going pretty well (when I can get on it, a certain
automaton from this group has bullied me into getting UT2004 and I'm
playing it constantly, it's rather good), most of my crews AI is
heading for 100% and I'll shortly be heading out to Pixan. I want
Fleet as soon as possible and I'm already well into negative EP's.

Started CTD'ing last night, but it must be the graphics drivers, I
upped it to Nvidia 56.72 or something, it was 43.03 before and had
been fine for weeks.

When I'm all maxed out we could maybe see about that MP game?

Nvidia just released the 61.76 drivers yesterday. Maybe it will help.

hmmm.. dunno. The only way I know to up their AI is to have them kill
things and blow up stuff. I tend to kill off pilots periodiatically(?)
to hardcode the AI once they reach a certain lvl.

Having a maxed out game won't help you in MP. Online, you have to
start with a virgin crew and new ship each time you log on. NO saving
stats.

V, what a wonderful letter,
when things are Very good they can hardly get better.
V is for Virile and Vino and Vested,
V is the letter that just can't be bested.
And mostly why V just couldn't be finer,
is cos V is the front part of every Vagina.
