Hello,

I have curently msi b150m night elf + I5 6500 (budget pc)

Now upgrading to Ryzen 7 2700x.

I wanted to go with Gigabyte - X470 AORUS ULTRA GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard

But some people told me that this mobo is bad (power delivery stuff)

And I should buy x370 -> gigabyte gaming 5 or asus prime x370

Could you please tell me what is better? Do i have to upgrade bios on x370 ? I checked benchmarks and x470 looks slightly better in performance.

Thanks for help

I have SilentiumPC - Fera 3 HE1224 v2 46.5 CFM CPU Cooler
GPU: Gainward - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB Video Card
Power supply: SeaSonic - 520W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

You are correct regarding the Gigabyte it doesn't have an 8+3 power phase despite its advertising, they actually have to change all their materials, or they would likely be facing a lawsuit

If you were to go with an X370 board it will need a BIOS update to work. That said the latest BIOSes allow them to basically run the same as an X470 counterpart, but they are missing the StoreMI feature, they do support XFR2 and PB2. Personally I'd get the ASUS Prime.
