Hello everyone, so I just tried to install a brand new 3900x on this motherboard, but of course impossible to start. No display, I tried the clear cmos, nothing. Do you have an idea? Has anyone installed a 3x on this MB?
I'm drying and I'm a little disappointed with the blow
Thanks in advance for the help
I forgot to say that I have the last bios installed and that the card worked with my 2700x

Hi and thanks for your answer, I've the f42a installed, but I've almost resolved the problem. I've removed 2 of my 4 memory-sticks (g.skill trident Z 3200 CAS 14, 16gb for each stick, total 64gb 😝) but with 4 sticks, there is no boot possible (black screen) and no problem with 2 sticks. The same 4 sticks was working perfectly on the same MB, but with my "old" 2700x. What happened with the 3900x?

Any idea?

Grrr that's too bad, I need my computer for working and I need most memory as possible, 32gb is too short for me.

Thanks a lot

Victory, I win against the motherboard, cpu and ddr4 😎
OK not really I just found the answer on a French forum 😋
The solution : Before update BIOS to F40, you have to install EC FW Update Tool (B19.0517.1 or later version) to avoid 4DIMM DDR compatibility on 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen™ CPU.
This update have solve my 4 ddrs problem, but the ddr was unable to reach the good timings of 14-14-14-36-48 @ 3200.
After longs longs tests and the new options of the last f42b (in amd overclocking and ddr setup) I reach the good timings and succeed in ddr overclocking at 3600 with 16-16-16-36-48 timings and total stability. I'm happy 😊 this cpu is a beast!
