X52 ministick issue

When i open the control panel to configure my joysick (Saitek x52) i get this problem:

The ministick which is essentially a basic mouse which sits on the throttle is always pushing upwards (green) and i believe it should be in the centre where i've put a blue square.

Sometimes in windows when i havent got the windows game controller config tool open it actually moves my mouse upwards and i need to disconnect it from the USB port.

Any advice ?

*Update*

I have contacted Saitek / Madcatz regarding the issue and have agreed to replace the joystick with a new one.

i will post back if any problems persist.
