What is main difference between x3470 & x5650?

The 3470 is about equal to the integrated graphics on a sandy bridge cpu.
The 5650 is about 10 levels higher than that. See this chart:

The Xeon X3470 is roughly 2 years old now: http://ark.intel.com/products/42932/Intel-Xeon-Processor-X3470-(8M-Cache-2_93-GHz) and has 4 cores and 8 threads, whereas the x5650 has 6 cores and 12 threads: http://ark.intel.com/products/47922/Intel-Xeon-Processor-X5650-(12M-Cache-2_66-GHz-6_40-GTs-Intel-QPI) It is also much faster.

My bad! Misread it (at 2:30 in the morning I was lucky I saw it at all) 😱 . Thought he was referring to GPU's.
