Question X570 Aorus Master - PCI-E Retention Clip

Hi,

When removing my 2080 Super (Gigabyte Windforce version) the retention clip for the PCI-E slot popped off the board.

It has two little nubs and it clipped straight back in with no hassle and looked perfect (no breaks in plastic or areas which had been snapped off etc - It actually came off again, which suggests it may be designed to come off under pressure to avoid breaking?

Can anyone help to put my mind at ease after worrying I've damaged something!

Seat the gpu securely and use the screws where the end of the card meets the case...you wont have any issues. If you transport the computer somewhere in a car then remove the gpu for the trip. As long as you didnt pull the PCI-E slot away from the motherboard you should be good to go.

The clip fit back on the board securely, and seems to be working fine.

I was wondering if anyone else had this issue with the board?
