I upgraded from a Ryzen 5 3600 to the new 5600X today. I was running 4x8GB DDR4 RAM. With the 3600 and it worked fine, dual channel/32GB and all. With 5600X it only allows me to put RAM in the first two slots (A1/A2). I did test all four sticks in (A1/A2) and they work perfectly. No matter what I put in (B1/B2) the mobo doesn't see the sticks. And yes, the manual recommends using (A1/B1) or (A2/B2) for dual channel mode. So now I'm stuck in single channel/16GB on the two sticks in (A1/A2).

Mobo [X570 AORUS ULTRA (rev. 1.0)]:

Hopefully a BIOS revision will come out and fix this particular memory?

Avoid this motherboard if you are going to use a new AMD 5000 series chip. I tried a new Aorus Ultra motherboard (v1.1/v1.2) and four types of DDR4 RAM (several of which are on the vendor's approved memory list!). Every time the DRAM light would show on the motherboard and it wouldn't go into BIOS. I've tried all versions of BIOS released since the AMD 5000 series chips launched.

When I was at Microcenter contemplating returning the 5600X because I though it was the culprit, I picked up an ASUS Prime X570 Pro. I can confirm it works perfectly! All four stick of RAM working, dual channel mode. I didn't need the WiFi on the Aorus board so it worked out.
