Fresh Win 10 install on MSI x570 Ace with 3700x, 2 identical new Adata SX8200PNP 2TB, only differences are: OS is installed on C; C is connected to M.2_1 (assuming this is direct to CPU), D is on M.2_3 (assuming chipset); C is 3% full, D is 12% full.

Tested with Crystal (and got similar results in another program)--I expected a very slight extra latency on D, but nothing like these performance differences. Note: C maxed at 43C, D at 42C, so temperature isn't the issue:

C:

I haven't been able to find any CPU vs Chipset benchmarks with Google, have others experienced the above with x570?

Yes, just built the system 2 days ago, updated the BIOS first thing, installed a fresh Windows 10 Pro using the Creation Tool. If it's just my system, I'm not too worried about it--I'm not going to notice the difference between 3.2 GB/s and 2.7 GB/s, just been wondering for a long time if straight to CPU vs Chipset made a difference and have found nothing on the internet about it, this was my first chance to test it and it was much larger than anything I was expecting. Really just curious if this is normal.

Yes, installed chipset drivers from AMD directly then from MSI over that.

My real question though is has anyone seen an article on chipset vs CPU m.2 for x570--more out of curiosity than concern about my performance. Or even an article comparing AMD m.2 from CPU lanes vs Intel's chipsets?
