[SOLVED] x570 Phantom Gaming 4 Which M.2 Slot is Faster?

I own an x570 Phantom Gaming 4

Pc Spec:

Ryzen 5 3600
1070 Ti
Viper Steel 3600mhz 2x8
Crucial P1 1TB NVME SSD

I was wondering whether the first M.2 slot (M2_1) is directly connected to the cpu, and the second slot (M2_3) is connected to the chipset. Another worry I have is whether or not having the SSD directly under the GPU is fine. I've seen people say that it could bring really high temperatures, and I can see that with the limited airflow covered by the GPU.

They are both the same speed. I’d recommend using the lower slot away from the GPU for heat reasons.

To answer the thread title: neither.

I run mine below the gpu and it is fine. In fact, the controllers on M.2s were designed to run warm, unlike with the sata ssds.
