[SOLVED] X570 pro wifi vs x570 plus wifi (both asus boards)

Solution
I think your build need to be changed. There is no point in buying a 200 dollars X570 board with a Quad Core CPU when you can get a B550 board with good VRM at 130 dollars and put some of the money saved on a 6 Cores 12 threads CPU like the Ryzen 3600. You will need a 2x8GB RAM Kit. Running 1 stick in Single Channel will cripple your performance on a Ryzen CPU.

Not only that but you can get an Intel 10400F 6 Cores CPU for 150 dollars right now. Today the 11th gen Intel is releasing and you will be able to buy a 11400F which is faster than a 10400F and it's the same price. It would be better than the build you're building right now.

This below would make more sense.

If I may though only one stick of 8gb ram at 2400mhz C17 will kinda kneecap your system, you will not have dual-channel and leave lots of perforance on the table. Why not go for a B550 Mobo which is more than enough for the 3100 and save the money to get the faster RAM like this

Unless you're putting a RTX 3070/3080 in that system you don't need a 750 Watts. A 99 dollars or cheaper but decent model gold PSU will be fine. If you're buying a 750 Watts for a possible upgrade I will understand. 16GB of RAM for 2 sticks for that Dual Channel Memory. A B550-A PRO decent B550 Board. Ryzen 3600 instead of that Quad Core.

Intel System with the 10400F instead of the 11400F releasing today. Not on pcpartpicker yet. So just get a 11440F instead of the 10400F on the build below.
I'd buy this build instead of the Ryzen one at the moment. PSU same issue as the build above. Replace if you really want that 750 watts but it's not needed with a GTX 1650.

do you think I should get intel or amd? I'll upgrade to 16 gigs of ram so 8x2 here and for me where I live the difference between x570 and b550 is like 20 bucks so np for me for the 750w psu is for future upgrades so I have headroom and for the r5 3600 it's too expensive for me I found the r3 3100 for 110 dollars so that's a hundred dollars difference and I'll be upgrading in the future. People have been saying intel isn't good they haven't been innovating and also 11th gen isn't good 10th gen is better and amd has better performance. Can someone give me a guide on what to get?

The most important thing here is that you choose a 6+ cores CPU and a 2x8GB RAM Kit at 3200MHz CL16.

Wait a few days to see the price of the 11400F.

Do not go for a Quad Core Ryzen 3100.

You do not put 200 dollars on a motherboard to use it with a 100 dollars CPU. 150 board / 150 CPU or 200 CPU / 100 board makes more sense.

I would go with the AMD, you can upgrade later if your budget allows to a 6 core Ryzen 5600x or even a 12 core 5900x (if they ever become widely available) so you have at least an upgrade path on the AM4 socket. With Intel you will be way more restricted without having to buy a new Mobo.

If it is for casual gaming with a 1650 4gb card the Quad will be fine for now, get more later and sell the Quad. The GPU will bottleneck any 6 or more core CPU anyway..... go with what you are happy with and enjoy it, you do not always need more, bigger, better to enjoy your PC !!!

P.S. having 16gb RAM in dual channel not 1 stick in single channel will do more for your games than 2 more cores will.
