i have a Sabrent rocket NVMe M.2 SSD and a SN750 , but the sn750 has a heatsink attached to it.

im only going to keep one of the drives.

the motherboard heat shield will only fit if i use the sabrent rocket, but i would rather use the SN750 because I've heard that it is a better drive.

if i left the motherboard heat shield off, would it affect the performance of the chipset fan or would it be fine if i decided to leave the heat shield off?

It would be fine if you left MB shield off and used one on SSD.
