X58 with Windows 10?

Solution
the older chipset and bios are fine with windows 10. running the older z77 sabertooth here. the older chipset drivers are already built into windows 10. so it make for older pc not bad to upgrade to the newer os. if it runs windows 7/8 with no issue it should run windows 10 unless it a pre built. some older units wont without a bios update and some vendors are not doing that and give people small warings that the new os is not support.

I have the SABERTOOTH X58 and there seems to be an issue withe the Realtek Audio. Throughout the day I receive an intrusive windows notification that something has been plugged into the audio jack. In windows 8 there was a similar message but it originated from the Realtek software and could be disabled. In the Win 10 Realtek audio manager there is an option to disable the pop up. However, it seems to have no effect on the Win 10 notification.

I have the same motherboard (x58) and the same problem. So I decided to buy an external USB cheap audio card: 3d sound 5.1. It worked for me at least for the moment until an upgrade of win 10 cames out.

I'm using the x58 motherboard and have been using windows 10 for a little over 3 weeks. It been great to say the least, The only main issue i currently have is a sleep mode issue. I previously had windows 7 installed also with a sleep mode issue but was fixed because the sleep mode setting was switched into hybrid mode which then would crash, no blue screen just wouldn't wake from sleep. Windows 10 on the other hand Is all sorts for trouble when comes to sleep mode. The pc would randomly wake up on its own. would be dead of night and computer wakes me up because it woke up. after a recent update. if i put it in sleep mode the mother board just says nope and shuts down completely but whats really peculiar is the motherboard give me a red light in the memory bank. so i have to pop open my case and click the mem okay button. If anyone could shed light on this, would be thankful.

windows 10 i give it an 8/10
I don't have a reason to switch back to windows 7 as of yet.
