X58A-UD3R Rev2 to memory problems

Hello,
2 problems (1) system restarts iteslf 3 times during boot up process when "Detecting DRAM Size..." (shuts off, restarts, shuts off, shuts off, restarts "" then loads windows and (2) have 12 GB of memory (6 gskill 2gb sticks) Win7 64bit only showing 4 GB usable. Tried everything.... made changes in bios, tested memory, all sorts of ISHHH... any pro's here who know how to correct this? need simple straight-forward advice.

Did you solve this problem? I have the same problem (but only 6gb trippel channel) and only 4 is showing as well.

other hardware:
core i7 960
Radeon HD4890
6gb Corsair dominator 1600
C300 ssd
H50 cooling

Please help me if you found a solution.

Did either of you solve this problem? I'm having the same exact problem - Detecting DRAM Size..." (shuts off, restarts, shuts off, shuts off, restarts "" then loads windows. Windows says 8gb (4gb usable memory). I've tried removing and resetting all 4 dimms as well as the CPU that didn't work.

Anyone know what this might be or how to fix it?

Hi geakerson,
I found that the source to my problem was bent pins on the cpu. I carefully raised them with a small screwdriver and PUFF problem solved.

Hope this can fix your problem as well
