Hi all,
Running into some issues that I suspect are related to a dead board, but I wanted to see if there's anyone with some words of wisdom first!
So here's what's going on:
In a nutshell, it's exactly the same symptoms as not pressing the power button. The board's rainbow LED junk is glowing away happily, peripherals have power. No fans, no nothing.
Some system specs:
What I've tried:
Any thoughts? Just RMA the board I suppose?
I'm really hoping I'm missing something stupidly simple, that would be great!

In a nutshell, it's exactly the same symptoms as not pressing the power button. The board's rainbow LED junk is glowing away happily, peripherals have power. No fans, no nothing.
Some system specs:
- ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F
- Ryzen 9 7900X3D
- Corsair Vengence 6200Mhz (2x 16GB)
- WD Black NVMe SSD (1TB)
What I've tried:
- Different memory configurations
- Re-seating CPU
- Re-seating GPU
- No NVMe SSD installed
- My old board and CPU, which wokred, confirming the PSU works fine
- Quadruple checking the panel headers and trying to jump the PWR_SWITCH header with a screwdriver, neither did anything.
- No GPU connected.
- Updating the BIOS via a USB drive and the flash button, which appeared to work. Drive was active, green LED flashing. Stopped after maybe 15 minutes.
Any thoughts? Just RMA the board I suppose?
I'm really hoping I'm missing something stupidly simple, that would be great!
