So far the x800 is in the lead, but I still don't trust these types of "leaks". They could be photoshoped for all I know.

Looking like an interesting breakdown of how the X800XT leads most of the time (Call of Duty being a bit of a hole [OpenGL performance]), but it is interesting that the Pro wins and loses dramatically.
Interesting that it's just the GF6800U with different drivers, and not the GF6800 non-ultra.
Also interesting where under very specific conditions the R9800XT beats them all (UT2K4 @ 1024x768), wonder if there are other benifits we are missing, or if it's simply a question of CPU limitation and the way the drivers function.
Be interesting to see more. One set of benchies isn't enough, and the IQ comparisons so far not too impressive, but intriguing none the less.

I'm disappointed in the performance until Aniso is enabled (which I would have at 8x anyway), so I'm mixed about it. I wanna see the platinum vs. the extreme....until then, 6800U is the way to go, IMO (hardware encoding/decoding of MPEG-2 and -4 is nice, not to mention video-in). But then again, the reduced power requirements and the short PCB of teh X800 are also nice to have...I'm gonna have to think on my decision on which is the best overall (feature wise: nVidia, performance/ease-of-use: ATi).
It'll probably come down to overclocking abilities....or until I see more reviews (especially [H}'s).

Yeah, I am hoping this X800 XT is not the platinum edition that the inquirer says is in reviewers hands. I'd like to think that the platinum would do better than this. I guess we will soon see what they are clocked at.
you forget temporal AA !!!!
My money is still on ati side...All those iq problem in farcry with the 6800 are starting to piss me off big time...
And they do TOO MANY COD bench.....yea nv win in those (its the q3 engine) BUT WTF is the difference between 250 fps and 300 fps....... There is like 30 bench in COD...
And as for x2 it has been proven by the community that the game penalyse the ati card...

We definately don't have enough to go by yet. I can't wait to read the reviews and see clock speeds, specs, and actual prices. Not to mention IQ comparisons.

A definite sign of a troll. All the benchmarks except Call of Duty have the x800 winning. How could you come to such a conclusion? You said yourself that you run with 8x aniso, so what you said didn't make a lick of sense.

Simply: I expected the X800 to dominate....which it did not. If you read the rest of my post, I say the X800 wins in performance but its features are less than that of the 6800U. I am still undecided which one I prefer.

What exactly do you have against the 6800U?? It's a legit card with great performance. I agree that a shorter card is nicer (I said it in my original post), but there is a serious advantage to the 6800U (if it ever starts working), which is the video encoding capability. Even if the performance is less than the X800 (and the power requirement is greater, as well as a larger/hotter card in general), encoding capabilities are a BIG PLUS in my book.
From the perspective of a gaming chip, however, the X800XTP looks to be king sh!t at this point (I mean that in a good way).

We aren't seriously going to discuss bungholio marks are we?
