I am planning to get an Asus Rog Strix X870-F motherboard for a Ryzen 7 9800X3D but on the support page on Asus website it has Intel Lan driver for ethernet version 2.1.4.3 and I saw people reporting problems with disconnections, packet loss and low internet speeds with that driver, but there is no other recent update to this driver on the Asus website.

So can I download the updated drivers from intel website and will it be compatible with my
X870-F motherboard ?

Looking through Intel's support page;
https://www.intel.com/content/www/u...el-ethernet-adapter-complete-driver-pack.html
looks like the driver released on Intel's end is February 27th 2025, while the one on Asus's support site is September 9th 2024.

If you can identify the LAN adapter's make and model, you can work around a faulty/buggy driver by sourcing the same driver but from another motherboard maker. Though I'd also attempt updating the BIOS before blaming drivers.

I think it's intel i226-v and many people reported problems using this model
