Hi,
Need some advice on how to properly install a T705 in to this ASRock board.
The board's M.2 PCIe5.0 slot has a heat pad attached. The T705 has it's wrap around the bottom heat sink.
With the combo of the pad and heat sink things are too think to use the MB's tool-less M.2 lock down. I can use a screw, but the drive will sit at an angle. Plus there would be a lot of pressure on the M.2 connector to be forced up.
My only thought is to remove the heat pad. The T705 heatsink appear to be integrated with the PCB.
Removal of the pad will void the warranty, and I have not even powered this board up yet.
I'd like to attached a picture of the issue from my PC but do not see how to do it in the forum.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks

I get what you mean & if I was in that situation, I would remove the motherboards heat pad from the M.2 slot so the Crucial heatsink on the drive can fit properly. I'd be surprised if this simple act voids the warranty on your board, surely Asrock would have thought about this when designing the board for the market today...
