x99 Deluxe II BIOS won't show USB and HANGS on startup

Hey,

Trying to install windows via a USB drive, however the device does not show on the BIOS.

Also, if I attempt to boot the system with the USB drive plugged in, it hangs on a black screen with a flashing "_".

Any ideas?

some things I would try...
1. install windows on a different flash drive and try to boot from that one, unless you are using a legitimate Microsoft brand windows usb stick and not some sandisk with windows on it.
2. Exactly how many usb ports did you try? If only one, then try another one.
3. I too have that issue. just try pluging in the usb stick after the system POSTS.
