Purchased corsair ddr 4 2x8 3200 MHz is this memory okay

For X99 you should get a quad-channel kit. Looks like you purchased a dual-channel kit whits cuts your theoretical memory bandwidth in half. It should still function just fine though, just not ideal. Since you wanted 16GB RAM, you would want a 4X4 kit instead of 2x8.
