X99 Vs Z97

So I am planning a build, I will be Gaming, Recording (Fraps), Video editing, etc and have decided on what parts I want:
i7-4790k CPU
GTX 970 MSI GPU
RoG Maximus VII Ranger
16gb Vengance Ram

However, I recently discovered I could for an extra £80 get X99, for DDR4 RAM, and an
i7-5820k, and a MSI X99s motherboard, but is it worth it? and is it actually better?

Gaming is slightly better on the i7 4xxx series (couple fps) However video editing is massively better on the i7 5xxx series and it game pretty well. For that slight difference in price I would say go for it. It will be future proof for longer.
