XB1 Controller Not Vibrating In Windows 10

I bought an XBOX One controller with cable for Windows from Amazon. When I plug it in, I hear the new device recognition tone but nothing else. Supposedly, the correct driver is part of Windows 10 and nothing else was needed. But it has never vibrated with any game. I've tried updating the driver, reverting back to an older driver and even tried it on another pc with Windows 10 with no luck. Then had a friend connect it to his XBOX One to update the firmware and see if it vibrated and it did. But it won't vibrate when connected to the pc. Was wondering if anyone has had this problem and a solution.

I don't think any of the apps that use the controller use the vibrator. That or it just doesn't function on windows. I apologize for not knowing this as I never used one myself. Maybe the fault lies at windows 10 since it is very buggy right now.

Chances are programs made for pc do not utilize the vibration of console controllers

usually, only console port games will support vibration.
Do you have any games with a "vibrate" option in the settings?

That's actually false. It vibrates fine with every game on Window 8.1. However, I've just "upgraded" to W10 and the vibration no longer functions.

Found this thread because I'm looking for a solution, too.
