yea.. expensive, I've checked Acer's website and it says I'm still under warranty but that means I will have to ship it in for like a week and I still need my monitor for daily use. So I would want to try and fix it myself

Did you ever fix this issue dude? I'm experiencing exact same issue now. Started getting issues just after warranty expired... bloody typical. Never buying Acer again, clearly some dodgy planned obsolescence in effect.

It's still not fixed, I sometimes just hit the right side monitor bezel just for it to go away for a few seconds then it comes back. I wish I could just find a way to open the monitor up so I can fix it but idk how. Has yours been fixed?

I actually fixed it just now, a couple of hours after I sent the previous message. Message me if you still have that specific monitor and want help fixing it.

You've had this problem for two years and just NOW decided to "fix" it? You could have sent it in to actually be fixed, or replaced under warranty, but instead decided that smacking it on the side every few seconds was the better alternative? And now you're offering advice on how to fix somebody else's monitor? Huh. LOL.

Bro, you ever gonna write those steps or what?

I got it sent away for repairs, free of charge. Lasted me another good two years and now the issue is back! Kind of, or maybe it's a different issue. There's a red line but mostly all the pixels are offset and red. Picture of the issue here:

I've built many PCs over the years but I've never been game to crack open a monitor and honestly wouldn't know where to start. I'm not even sure what causes this issue but would love to know more to be able to fix my own problems instead of having to send my monitor away.

A lesser monitor I would just have just ditched by now but this monitor is godly and very expensive (for a monitor) so I really can't just by a new one. I don't even want to upgrade my monitor anyway, 1440p 144hz is the sweet spot.

This is really a joke. A monitor should last more than five years. I'm ready to boycott Acer from here on out because clearly they don't make their products to last.
