Question XB272 Accessory question

I've had my monitor for months now and I have no idea what the plastic hanger thing is supposed to do. I'm thinking its for a headphone but I can't seem to find a notch for it to slot it. Any ideas? Thank you.

I can find no mention of any such part or accessory in that monitor's User Manual so I'm as much in the dark as you are:

Yes that is also my problem They don't give out instructions to it as to how it is used. or should be used. It is the 2nd accessory from the left.
