Xbox 360 Controller Help

Hi everyone,

I am planning on buying a wired Xbox 360 controller to use with my pc but was just wondering, does each game save the controller layout made for that specific game or do I have to change the controller layout for each game as I play them?

It will only work if the game supports controllers many don't and you'd be forced to use third party software to map the keys to emulate keyboard presses games that support controllers will normally auot setup the correct mapping when you press a button on them
