XBox 360 controller to PC

Ok so here's the deal.
I lost the wire that allows the wired Xbox 360 controller connect to the PC.
the original plug of the xbox 360 controller doesnt fit in pc so when we buy the controller we get a adapter sort of wire that has an input in which we can plug the x360 controller and the other end is of a USB so that way we can connect thye controller to the PC.
Can anyone give me a site where i can buy only that adapter wire for the x360 wired controller?
