Xbox 360 controller windows 7

I have downloaded the software pack and when I plug my wired controller in almost everything works perfectly, BUT whenever I press the right trigger (left trigger too on some games, I've tried this with multiple games) the game just freezes, it won't unfreeze until I unplug the controller. This only happens during gameplay, pressing the RT any time where it won't register doesn't do anything.

Edit the controls and take the triggers off of freeze.

It's a plug and play thing. I've never had such a problem plugging 360 controllers into my Win 7 machine or my HTCP Dell XPS machine. Could be another driver issue perhaps? Have you installed drivers for any other controllers?
