I recently tried to fire up my old hd-dvd drive in windows 10. It reads and plays DVD's without an issue, but whenever i insert any of my HD-DVD windows 10 shows the file system as unknown and cannot open or play the drive... please see attached screenshots.
What could be causing this?? I would assume that if the drive can play a standard DVD then it must be working ok...
GDay Barty. At the moment i dont have any playback software installed except VLC. But i remember in windows 7 when i last had it running i could browse the filesystem... whereas now it sees there is a disc, labels it as a DVD but with an 'Unknown' file system?
No issues getting the right software, im just trying to avoid shelling out $$ for something that doesnt work. Ive got about 30 or 40 HD-DVD from before they lost the war with BluRay, if i can get them running i just want to rip them all into my Plex library so i can turf the discs/drive
