Basically Ive connected my xbox to my laptop through my hdmi port however nothing seems to be happening, I am completely bamboozled; Ive checked the fire wall inbound rules but nothing.

The hdmi port on the laptop is output only. If you are trying to display the xbox on the laptop it wont work

I have an HDMI in port, i know nearly every spec of my laptop.

whats ur exact specs of ur laptop?

8gb ddr3 ram, nvidia geforce gtx 580m, Windows 7 proffesional,Intel core i7-2670qm cpu (had to search for dat one cuz is a pain rememberign that),18 inch screen. (mother board idk)

Well the laptop is in my room, i am soon getting a room with a tv however, i dont really watch tv and i dont have one in my room currently plus i really wanna play UFC 3 but there isnt a pc version.
