xbox 360 left stick problem

some time ago the left stick star to do something strange. even when i push the left sitck full forward the character in screen (in the case of games like skyrim or new vegas) instead of run start to move forward but in a bumpy and slopy way like if the stick is not full forward, and if you try to just walk (light push forward) simply walk in a broken way between run and walk any idea why is this happening? any solution?

Get a new controller. Unless if you brought the xbox 360 controller a few months ago chances are that your controller has worn out.
