Xbox 360 Phat - 03-80-00 error with Phillips Lite-On drive

Hey guys, I need some help with repairing my brother's 360 fat.
Not so recently, it stopped reading disks 90% of the time, and it would sometimes grind, and it also wouldn't open part of the time.

I'm thinking about replacing the Worm motor, would this work, and also should I replace the spindle too?

Clean it. Open it up and pull out all the dust that has probably built of over the years. Try re-lubricating the moving parts to try to get it to open again. If any parts are broken, then replace if they are priced reasonably. However, if you don't already know, the logic board for the DVD drive cannot easily be swapped. It is locked to your Xbox's motherboard.
