Hello,
My friend's receiver for Xbox 360 Controller stopped working so he decided to buy another receiver. He connected it to the PC, pressed on the button. It was blinking and he pressed on the xbox 360 logo on the controller. It stayed light and after that stopped (The controller is not connecting to the receiver).
I have to mention that the batteries are new.
He also received some drivers for the receiver but he told me that the other receiver (the first one that stopped working) was working without that drivers on the CD. He had tried if he would have had a CD port.
So what he tried was :

- Device manager > Other devices > Unknown device > Properties > Drivers > Update driver > Browse my computer > Let me pick from a list of drivers > Xbox 360 controller
- Searching for online drivers (On microsoft's official webiste)
