I have one of the older xbox 360s, old enough to not have an optical line but new enough to have an HDMI, and as I dont have a tv, but rather monitors and a desktop, Could I use this sound card i bought a while back to run an aux cord into my computer? Thanks.

Edit: Figured I should elaborate a bit.

I dont have an av cable for it, as I bought it as just a power cord and xbox, and am using an hdmi to dvi cable to run video into my pc monitor. I have that little sound card I bought for my ps3, which worked fine, but the xbox 360 doesnt seem to have a multi output setting for its audio, and the only choices im left are digital stereo, dolby digital 5.1 and dolby digital with WMA Pro.

Nevermind. If anyone else is looking for a way and discovers this thread:

Sadly, the xbox 360 cannot use sound cards to run sound. However, I bought a turtle beach adapter that had red and white rca female, as well as an optical cord. I plugged an aux female to rca male to run it then back into my computer and used Realtek HD Audio Manager to set that line as a line in, then messed with the settings a bit to allow it to run through my computer at the same time as my regular pc volume and it works perfectly.

This is the adapter I bought (http://goo.gl/aOS8Md)
