Make sure to do this:

1. Make sure your Wireless Adapter is plugged in with the green light showing it's connected
2. Turn on your Wireless Controller.
3. Hold the button on your Wireless Adapter until it starts flashing.
4. Then, hold the sync button on your 360 controller located HERE until it starts flashing also.

The XBOX 360 Controller should now be synced to your Adapter

The adapter does not begin to flash no matter how long I hold it.
What do you think is at fault here?

I was mistaken, apparently you just press it. Does the green light on the wireless adapter begin flashing if you press the big button on it once? Or is there even a green light on it at all?

There is a green light on it when it is plugged in,however it does not begin to flash when I press it.
I did see a video where the person was using the same receiver as myself and for him it did begin to flash so I have no idea why it doesnt do it for me

Should just be an exe setup, just run it. You might need to restart your computer if it asks you to.
