Xbox 360 Wireless Controller Windows 10

I bought an Xbox 360 wireless controller for my pc a while ago and everything worked fine until I upgraded to windows 10. Everything seemed to be good, the controller connects to the receiver, and its says that everything is running properly, but when i enter a game the controller wont do anything at all, nothing recognizes it and I have no idea what to do. I feel like i might be missing something pretty obvious but idk... Any ideas? Thanks!

Likely the drivers became corrupt transferring them to windows 10. Try reinstalling the drivers, my xbox 360 receiver is working fine on win 10.

I've tried every option from troubleshooting and I keep getting the "unknown device descriptor" message, or Code 28, no matter what port I connect to. Was working fine until the November update.

i have bought a PC Wireless gaming receiver but when i want to connect it to my xbox controller de receiver went on green (constant on green light) but my xbox controller keeps pop green light ??? what do i have to do?
