Xbox and win 10 pc

I have an xbox one and a gaming pc. Love them both so im wondering now if i should sell the xbox for ps4 since windows 10 will have xbox titles. Im not sure in future what titles will be available. Most xbox games i can play on my pc. If i can play exlusives on pc ill sell it for ps4. I dont think their exlusives will be pc ready.

Microsoft does seem to be trying to push Windows 10 and the Windows Store as a gaming platform and it looks like pretty much all of the Xbox One's exclusives save maybe the Halo series will be releasing on PC as well for the foreseeable future. Given that fact, it does make the Xbox One kind of pointless if you have a decent gaming PC unless you're a huge Halo fan.

Do keep in mind that some of the ports for these Xbox exclusives have had issues eg. Quantum Break running poorly in DirectX 12, and Forza Horizon 3 having performance issues if you don't have fairly high end hardware. Gears of War 4 seems to be the only Xbox One title so far that hasn't had major porting issues and/or problems at launch. For that reason it might be worth keeping the Xbox around if you don't have some fairly high end hardware in your PC to brute force those particular games.

I recently made a jump to Windows 10 and while it seems pretty cool and I like the Xbox app so I can keep up with my old Xbox Live friends from my 360 days I don't in any way see Win 10 as a serious alternative to an Xbox console; especially if I gamed on both.

The Windows store is complete mess that's impossible to navigate if you don't already know what you're looking for. The Windows store is the desktop equivalent of a mobile phone marketplace: a ton of pay 2 win freemium games mixed in with a whole lot of "lifestyle" apps you'll never use. And half of them don't even work on PC (!?!?). And mixed in with that junk are actual "real" games like Forza Horizon 3 that you'll have to do a hard search to find.

And I doubt you'll be getting many "Free With Gold" titles on Windows 10 like you do on Xbox and you won't be able to pick up titles for much less money since Microsoft doesn't seem to be like other online retailers and have a lot of annual "killer sales".

If you play games on more than one platform I'd keep your Xbox system. And I have a couple of friends who either mostly or exclusively game on consoles and they've all decided to jump ship away from the Playstation and cross over to Xbox One. I'm not exactly sure since I only game on PC this gen but they seem to think that in the long run it's a better all around system. I also think most of them went with the PS3 last gen just to have a blu-ray DVD player.
