Xbox controller to PC over cat6 + bluetooth?

Hi, I'm currently trying to figure out a setup where I can use my Xbox one controller with my pc located several rooms away. The setup I'm thinking is this: usb to cat6 adapter from the computer, cat6 to the room I'm in, adapter back to usb, and then a plug in bluetooth adapter so can connect to the pc using the controller's bluetooth. I'm primarily looking to avoid any lag from the input of the controller to the pc. Does that sound like a solid setup? Thanks

Figured I'd post what I did and how it worked out:

So I ran a 50 ft HDMI and a 50 ft USB cable straight from the computer to the TV and used the windows 10 Xbox controller adapter at the far end of the USB. Picture seems to come out fine (I played a 4k youtube video and it looked pretty spiffy) and played a little black ops 3 (not in 4k though) with a controller. There seems to be a little latency, though not bad. I played some multiplayer and that didn't seem too viable, either I was pretty rusty (a possibility with an xbox controller, used to PC), or there was enough latency to make it not ideal. But single player was fine, latency not really an issue.

You still are going to get SOME lag being that it still has go the distance. Are you streaming in another room? If so, that could ALSO cause some lag. The input from the controller will go to the PC, hit the network, and then stream it back to the screen.

Not to mention you are trying to use bluetooth which is known to have interference with other signal.

I mean it could work, but it may cause frustration.

I'm planning on doing a 50ft HDMI run back to the tv, which from my research should be fine. I also don't think interference should be an issue, I'm mostly worried about lag going over the bluetooth and then transmitting over 50 feet of cat6. The Xbox wireless adapter is also an option but I don't know which would be better for the setup. It's about 30 feet and a couple walls between me and the computer

Ah well, Bluetooth range is still "personal" i.e. 5-10-20 feet or so.
Though it would certainly make it easier to connect it to your Surface Pro or something.
