[SOLVED] Xbox one controller constantly disconnects and reconnects

The Xbox one controller is connected by USB to my Gigabyte z390 mobo. Happens while gaming. Not sure if it is a heat issue. The ram leds also turn off and on when it happens.

Cpu : 9700k
Motherboard: Gigabyte z390 master
Ram: gskill 32gb
SSD/HDD: corsair 1tb Evo plus
GPU: Gigabyte 3070 ti
PSU: evga 1000 platinum
Chassis: phanteks Evolve
OS: win 10

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list them like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:

If the specs to your build are in your sig space, please find it in your heart to parse the specs in the body of the thread since sig space specs can and will change over time rendering this thread and possible solutions moot.

Also, might want to look into the BIOS version for your motherboard. Please include the age of the PSU in your build.

either bad cable, or usb port on your controller needs cleaning or that port needs replacement

I had one do some funky stuff, it was a bad cheap USB cable. Replace cable.
