Im having an issue where whenever i play games using ANY Xbox controller plugged in Via USB my games stutter/freeze, and at the same time there is weird noises like clicking or buzzing coming from my pc. No issues running games whatsoever when its not plugged in, no weird noises. took me all day just to narrow it down to this so hopefully someone knows what this might be, thank you!

im running Windows 11,
core i5 3450
16 gb ram
gtx 1060 3gb.

Everytime I have looked at this type of problem it was a xbox 360 device and the drivers loaded just had a bunch of bugs. if you are using a xbox 0ne device check to see if there is a firmware update for the device.

you should also check for a bios update, chipset update and usb updates from your motherboard vendors website.

NOTE: after removing a USB device from windows the device and driver becomes hidden but the removed device driver still functions and screws up the system. You will want to go into control panel, device manager, find the menu item to show hidden /removed devices
then look at the list of greyed out usb devices and delete each one.
not doing this will leave you scratching your head trying to figure out why things work sometimes and not others.
thinking of the case where you plug a device, it does not work and you unplug it and try another. The first device driver would be still running. Some old logitech usb device drivers would respond to other devices usb packets and prevent the other device from working. Event after the logitech usb device was unplugged.
