Xbox One Controller not installing correctly?

When I plug my Xbox One controller into my PC using a micro-usb cable it installs it as "Controller" instead of "Microsoft Xbox One Controller" and it has a yellow exclamation mark next to it in Device Manager. If it try to update it through Device Manager it tells me "Windows was unable to install your Controller." I've also tried Windows Update and it doesn't find anything. I also tried setting my Device Installation Settings to "Yes, do this automatically" and my controller still won't install. I think the issue is that Windows is recognizing my controller as just "Controller" instead of "Microsoft Xbox One Controller." How do I fix this?

Edit: I should probably mention I am running Windows 8.1.

I am running 8.1.
I already tried following those steps. Like I said above, my controller shows up as "Controller" instead of "Microsoft Xbox One Controller" in device manager.

It is legit. Came in an Xbox box. Has the Microsoft sticker.
