Xbox one controller problems.

Like the title said, I am having problems with my Xbox one controller. I don't use Bluetooth so I usually use it with a wire. It has been working fine in the past but now when I tried to play The Witcher 3 and I plugged in the controller it just vibrated shortly then nothing. It didn't light up. Tried with different cables at all the different USB ports on my computer, no change. Any help on this would be very much appreciated. Thank you for reading.

Uninstall the driver under device manager, reboot and then reconnect the controller and allow Windows to reinstall the driver.

The Xbox One controller doesn't even show up in device manager. I don't think windows even detect it.

Try it on a different pc, if it’s not even detected it could be a problem with the controller such as a broken usb socket.

It actually did work when I plugged the controller into my brothers pc so I guess that is good (ish).

[EDIT] I just tried this on my pc again and it worked fine. No idea why it didn't yesterday. I tried the same cables at the same usb ports. Anyways thanks for your help!

No worries. Very strange but at least it is working again.
